Woke up to a dusting on the upper peaks. I'm feeling great knowing that I had a summer as good as any. Rode my balls off, injury free, no major mishaps, lots of single track above 9,500', enjoyed riding my 250X, 250R and the super fun 01 CR250. Tons of laughs with the bros, made new riding buddies, got a little smoother on my favorite 2 hour loops above Aspen. Now I guess it's time to start heading to lower elevations, chasing my fav riding spots just like chasing an early north swell back in the day surfing. Lots of ride time left before the snow flies and a ton of beer to drink with the boys while we talk story after a good ride. Not so bad at 57 years old, loving life, loving my wife, loving the kids and stoked to be alive. Let's ride tomorrow but won't know where until I check the swell direction!
